Shell Cordovan Cream

I have a 12-year-old pair of Johnston Murphy Shell Cordovan dress saddle shoes. They are absolutely beautiful, and I wear them a lot. They no longer produce the shoe, so I need to keep them in top shape. I wanted something that was specific to Shell Cordovan but of course couldn't find exactly what I wanted. I came across Pure Polish Products one day on the internet and decided to give it a try. Smart move on my part!! The shoes themselves have a very high polish with no marks of scratches on them ... they look like they just came out of the box brand new. I want to keep them that way. The Pure Polish product went on easily with very, very little being needed to cover each of the shoes. I let the product stand for 5 minutes as noted in the directions and then buffed them with my shoe brush. After that I hit the shoes with a microfiber cloth to finish them off. The high shine is there, and the finish is incredibly smooth to the touch. I feel good knowing that the shoes are more protected than ever before and not clogged up with regular wax type shoe polish. I can't recommend this product highly enough. I also used it on a pair of Frye shell cordovan loafers that my wife has ... again, a perfect solution. 15 out of 10 stars!!!!!

I like and recommend the Cordovan Shell Cream. I use it on multiple pairs of Alden cordovan shoes. I do, however, continue to use Alden's No. 8 wax-based product and Saphir's vegetable-oil based creme because I want to add pigment to my shoes. I get the best results when I use small amounts of each product; allowing it to dry, often overnight; and brushing it to a shine before applying another product. In other words, I layer one product on another. I have tried putting one product immediately on top of another. This does not work, not at all. The result is a mess. Although I use the other products, the Cordovan Shell Cream is the easiest and most pleasant to use. I use the Cordovan Shell Cream most often on a pair of Alden boots because it is so easy and pleasant to use. I have not yet tried it on cordovan belts. But I am confident that it will work. The absence of pigment will eliminate the risk of getting pigment on my clothes. Again, I recommend the Cordovan Shell Cream. I just ordered more.
