Allen Edmonds Weybridge "On the Rocks"
These are a personal pair of Andy's. They gleamed right up with some love from our Walnut Cream Polish and High Shine Paste. (Although a little hint: I did add some Dark Brown Paste as a single darkening layer on the toe, to add some additional reflective patina).
Early 1900's Sears & Roebuck Catalog at the Museum
On a trip to the High Desert Museum with the kids, we stumbled across this turn-of-the-century Sears & Roebuck Catalog. It was in the Settler's section, with covered wagons, log houses, and farm equipment. Of course, we had to look at the shoe section: just look at these amazing designs!
We also had a great conversation about what was done to take care of leather 100 years ago, and what is used now. How it's changed and how it's stayed the same in many ways. Leather still is one of the best and longest lasting materials for making shoes and boots, especially when cared-for properly.
Before & After on a pair of John W. Nordstrom Made in Italy Derbies
Not afraid to get his shoes dirty, Andy dug in the dirt with the kids at the Museum, which led these shoes to getting quite dirty. Nothing a quick wipe-down and cleaning with Pure Polish Cleaner Conditioner, and a shine with Black Cream Polish & Black Paste Polish can't fix!
I also had fun giving these shoes a cool lacing pattern with some green Fintoco Laces.
